Actually to me it is MUSIC :B to my ears, especially when I BLOW by the smoky diesel pickups :W
Just not enough knowing I didn't have to take out a second or third mortgage to afford my truck..
It's also the sound of your wallet having the money sucked out of it. The higher the RPM, the higher the fuel consumption. The gas engine is a beast, it will pass everything on the road.
Except a fuel station. :E
BTW I own one of those "smoky diesel pickups". Mine doesn't smoke, and gets 10-13 mpg towing my fiver, 18-20 mpg when not towing. YMMV.:B
