One thing to look into however is maintenance costs. PMs are pretty involved, such as periodic valve adjustments. It is not a driveway job. So just be aware that those costs are there, and will be higher than other comparable motors.
Thanks. As a full timer my driveway maintenance has been largely curtailed but are valve adjustments needed all that often?

No I thought we established valves are done at 500,000 ? many go longer .
The reason I asked if it has a Allison is the fuel economy will be effected ,not so much by the torque converter as by fewer gears in the allison vs a automated manual.
