2012 SunnyBrook Harmony 21FBS

I am a first time buyer for a travel trailer, moving from a 26' Class C. I've been looking at trailers the past year with plans to travel once I retired. Well I retired a few weeks ago and still have not decided on a trailer yet. On one of the other forums, Gary mentioned not to overlook the SunnyBrook Trailers and their quality. I found one locally within a 50 mile drive. It is the one in my subject line, 2012 SunnyBrook Harmony 21FBS. I did a search here but didn't find many results to answer my question. It is a "new 2012"

I know that in 2010 Winnebago bought them out. Like any other rig/trailer, some owners love them others have had problems. I am looking for any kind of feedback from someone that might own this trailer. Yes, I have google searched for this exact trailer owner forums, found a couple but most of them talk about the larger models.

It does have 1 slide out which I like but what I didn't like was the dealer was doing repairs on the flooring under the couch that is on that slide out due to water leaks. They said it would be fixed with some of their improvements that would make it better than the original manufacturer. One thing I did notice was that it did NOT have a slide out topper and was the possible cause of the leak.

My main question is, if they repair the floor as well as they say and I add a slide out topper to it, do you see that being fixed well enough to consider making the purchase or should I turn and run away from this rig as fast as possible?

He would only come down on price from $16,900 to $15,500.

Good deal?
  • That's WAY too much money for a two year old trailer with damage. I just bought a 2014 26' trailer for less than that.
  • My S.B. is 27 ft sunset creek I love it I do have a slide topper,Feel free to ask me Questions. Bobby

    What is a slide topper?

An awning over the slide. It is attached to the edge of the trailer and the other end is on a roller attached to the outside edge of the slide. It comes out when the slide comes out and goes back in when the slide goes back in automatically. They help keep rain, debris, pine needles etc., and sun off the top of the slide. I would not have a slide without one.

  • That trailer is the same as the Winnebago 2101DS. Until this year, Winnebago made twin models of the Minnie line under the Sunnybrook badge. It looks as though they have stopped doing so with the 2014 models. A quick online search shows a new 2101 DS selling for under 20k. So, I wouldn't pay 16k for the unit you are looking at...especially when they have had to repair it.

I suggest you take a look at the Minnie line.....we've been quite happy with our 2201DS.
  • Yes a slide topper is a must, especially of there is likely to be any tree debris. Many manufacturers make them an option.
  • The clamps on the flexible tubing to the PEX are bad. They should be replaced with a clamp that can compress thin wall tubing. The clamps can be ordered from Belmetric. You should also check to see how the fresh water tank is suspended. If the tank is setting on OSB board refuse the sale until they replace it with the proper metal platform from Lippert.

Thats the same model as ours. Is your water pump very noisy?
