Hello.I went to winterize out new to us 2010 harmony thx toy hauler by Sunnybrook and it seems my setup is different than what I have been watching videos for. I will add some pictures of the flow jet. So far I cannot see how to access the back of the water heater to bypass it. The only place is maybe under the bed there is a bolted down board. Could it be under there? What a nightmare if so as it will be hard to get at that with the bed and bed platform struts. Under the sink where the floor jet is, I have added a picture. I have these two little petcock to the right of the flow jet that may be what I am looking for but I am not sure. Per the pic they are circled in red. Not sure what those do. The blue seems to run the cut hose for dipping into rv antifreeze, and the orange is the water line coming from the water storage tank I believe. Any help woupdate be great. Sitting here staring at it now. I also see two blue tabs on the in and out line physically on the pump. Am I suppose to pull those out for anything? Thanks again .

It is a little hard to tell what line is for what from pics. I would say shut off from tank should be closed, and line opened from hose that goes in anti-freeze jug.The blue tabs on pump are to release fittings from pump. You should not have to do that, if you have a winterize kit already installed, which sounds like what you have.On mine, I made my own kit by pulling blue inlet tab, pulling fitting out, and adding my own short hose, with fitting, back into pump, lock blue tab. Then I just put my short hose in the jug and pump.Jerry

Thanks jerry. I think I have the hoses figured out that go into and out of the pimp. My dilemma is how to bypass the hot water tank. In the lower right you will see tow white tabs on the hot and cold line, they pull out. The second pic is a zoom shot of those valve tabs. I am thinking that my be the bypass somehow but I'm not sure. Otherwise maybe the bypass is under that bed board which is the third pic. If those white tabs are not a byoass, question is what are they?Thanks

Close valve on orange PEX pipe from tank.Open valve to white pipe stub for antifreeze.You may have a check valve on the water heater that blocks any antifreeze from going into the heater in the hot outlet pipe but you should also have a valve that closes off the cold water supply. You can determine this valve location by sight or try to fill water heater with fresh water after draining and leaving the drain plug off. With fresh water in the pumping system (normal operation) power pump and turn valves until no cold water comes out of water heater drain. BTW, when posting pictures, choose width 640 so they aren't large.

I pulled the valves up on the red and white pex and apparently those are drains. Water started draining from a red and white people under the camper. I suppose this is to drain all the water from the system before doing antifreeze? Or maybe to remove antifreeze come summer? Still need to find the hot water bypass.

All set. Found bypass under the bed.Quesrion....do you guys leave the drained antifreeze in the gray holding tank or do you drain it?Also,do you leave the system pressurized when complete or do you relieve the pressure by opening up a sink valve then done?

I use Prestone RV anti-freeze that contains no alcohol. It does a good job lubricating, and will not evaporate from your toilet over the Winter like ethanol. It leaves no taste, and will not stain. I pay 5 bucks a gal at my local Walmart. I have noticed several others that state no ethanol/alcohol, but not cheap either. I buy 3 gal, so I can be sure to get some in the tanks, especially the black tank, to keep valve lubed.

Many folks use the cheap stuff, and are happy, so don't feel like your doing something wrong. I hear people complain about taste, stains, and evaporation, that is characteristic of cheap RV anti-freeze.

Shoot, Says contains ethyl alchoho...I assume that is no good. What do you recommend and I will drain it all tomorrow and reeling winterize.

This is what I used. I'm guessing that is not the high dollar stuff? I left it in the tanks and toilet but will drain if it's no good.

I release the pressure.

If you use ethanol based anti-freeze (read the label), I would drain it from the tanks, and also open low points, drain it from lines as well. Once run through, no need to keep it in lines.

I use high quality anti-freeze, and purposely put in tanks to lube the valves. IMO, the ethanol based AF may actually cause the valve seals to dry out.

Ah, good, you found the bypass. I relieve the pressure. Some antifreeze in the tank keeps the dump valve seals lubricated.

The second picture is of the low point drains,the same as in my 3 former trailers which were SunnyBrook. The water heater bypass valves will be on the inboard side of the water heater. Locate it from the outside and then you'll know where to look inside. My current trailer requires the removal of a panel held by 2 screws to get to the water pump. The water heater is under a dinette bench and readily accessible by lifting the seat cushion and seat board.
