I have a 2014 Ram 2500 diesel to pull my 14k 5ver. It will be more than enough for your trailer. Although there might be some weight police around here that might say you need to step up to a 3500 due to the GVWR of all 3/4 tons maxing out at 10k(due to government regulations) even though it is able to handle much more.

Not many stock vehicles (outside of modern diesel HD trucks) can tow that much weight up a hill like that and maintain the speed limit the whole way.
