  • Thanks JumboJet.

My daughter and some of my grandkids are in Oklahoma (about 1,500 miles) and my wife is trying to talk me into driving out there pulling the trailer to visit. My comfort zone (well not really comfort) is about 400 miles a day and I don't want to get back to NY needing a vacation to recover from the drive, so I'm thinking two weeks to do it.
  • Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful times with us! THIS is what family travel is about! The photos and memories you and your children will cherish for years to come!

Beautiful pictures....and it looks like you and the family had a great time! Memories were certainly made this month, that will last a lifetime!:)

Funny to see two TCs side by side....(or were they both in your group), as we don't see as many here in the East.

Thanks for letting us share your adventure:)

The Lance 1050S is mine and the Lance 820 is my son's.

Wow! Thanks for sharing the pictures of the family trip. Now if I could only convince my employer to grant me two additional months of paid vacation I could see it for myself :).

BTW, how long (time wise) was the trip and how many total miles did you cover? What did you find was a comfortable distance to travel in a day?

Actually, 10 days; 3,100 miles. We had three days that were just a little over 500 miles each. We spent 3 days at Yellowstone, 2 days at Mt. Rushmore.

    Comfortable distance - 300.

I do not like to drive the Interstates, but for matching up with my son's family time off, we had to drive the Interstates and at times maintained 70 mph for two hours at a time.
  • Many thanks for the trip report Jumbo Jet. I'll add it to the 'cross country' section of the trip reports sticky at the end of summer.

    Steve.
