My opinion, at this point I think it's fairly safe to declare the 6.7L Scorpion reasonably reliable. Yes there have been the aforementioned Bosch pump failures which admittedly is something that'll be in the back of the mind of 6.7L owners, but otherwise I've heard very few horror stories and the engine has now been on the market for a few years.
I'm not sure iawoody2's MPG figures are common though; 20hwy and 18mpg combined sounds really good-- I think if you live in a congested area with its share of stop/go driving you may see smaller numbers than those.
As far as service costs, yes it'll likely cost a bit more than a gas pickup on regular maintenance but it isn't a big spread.
Where costs really come into play on diesel vs gas is out-of-warranty repairs, which in your case won't be a concern.
Summing up, I think the 6.7L has, for the most part, proven itself to be a good engine and if you like the truck and it fits your budget, go for it.
