LT or P rated tires? 935 lbs with our without full lp tanks? Battery?
I went through this. Bought the trailer before the truck so I bought a 2011 F150 EcoBoost that only had 1400 lbs of payload. Bought a truck off the lot without taking the time to read the forums. Was sold on the tow rating and never paid attention to payload.
My wet tongue weight is 1000 lbs. My wdh weighs 80 lbs. Our family of four and two dogs weigh 820 lbs. That's a total of 1900 lbs of payload. 500 lbs overweight.
Traveled like this for two years. EcoBoost had more than enough power, suspension and tires were very soft. Had I gotten the max payload package with LT tires I'd still be diving that truck.
My new truck allows me to travel worry free and allows many more options in the future.
LT tires are a must. The P tires are just way too soft.
