Do people really care if their truck, when towing, goes from 0-40 in 12 seconds or 16 seconds? What's next 1/4 mile times with a 5er? sheesh
Problem with that argument is you can turn it the other way: do people care about 16 vs 20 sec? 20 vs 25 sec? 25 vs 30 sec?
Next thing you know we have a truck with 90 hp. Where do you draw the line?
Myself, given the choice, would rather take progress and go forward a bit at a time. - 45RicochetExplorersheesh I guess LD trucks news have gone the way of the 6.0 threads, short.

You can't do much of anything but get groceries and apparently have a very small penis if you have a half ton... read it on rv.net too. - BeerCanExplorerDo people really care if their truck, when towing, goes from 0-40 in 12 seconds or 16 seconds? What's next 1/4 mile times with a 5er? sheesh
- Buck50HDExplorerNice to see my "old" 2012 still has it. Can't wait to see the 2015 F150 with HD payload option and an updated ecoboost that still won't even be close to the price premium and gas expense of a 6.2. Also, most likely DI on the 5.0 with added HP/TQ/MPG.

- TacoExplorerI have two things to say.
1)Pickuptrucks.com is a bunch of sissies giving into political correctness changing from a "shootout" to a challenge.
2) in 2013 the top gas half tons pulling 8500 went 0-40 in around 12 seconds. in 2010 in the heavyduty SHOOTOUT the ford 6.7 powerstroke and CTD went 0-40 in 16 seconds towing 10k lbs. So a half ton handles power wise 8500 better than a diesel handles 10k. I would even go so far as to say the half tons have a decent shot of beating the diesels with 10k giving how big of an advantage they showed with only 1500 less lbs. - DadoffourgirlsExplorer

Thank you, I had mistaken Flint for Pontiac. I'm still cannot remember which was the fourth, that was either closed or switched to other production.
Pontiac Truck was closed. Arlington has all the fullsize SUVs. - harmanrkExplorer
