2013 ram 2500 / 3500 tie rod

Wow, it is a lot beefier than my 2010. I have a customer doing the machining and assembly for the new tie rods. They sure did it right this time. The diameter is 2.0". I heard they were really making it a strong truck. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the suspension looks.

I would defenitely pass on the 2500 for a 3500 SRW for the front suspension alone if I was looking at a RAM.

The 2500 RAM I test drove last year felt really rough from the end if that makes any sense.

Well I will say that it looks like Ram has come back around to what worked in the past, just heaver!
That 3500 rear spring pack looks just like the spring pack on my 01 Ram 2500 with Camper package. It also looks very much like the spring pack that is on the 12 4500 Cab Chassis!
I think Ram was working on the equivalent of a production "Long Hauler" before they took the concept truck on the road.
I know my 2500 with factory Camper suspension doesn't flinch at the load it hauls. Ram has been very conservative on their load ratings for years, now they are looking to up the steaks in the ratings war.

No doubt with the 3500's. 2500's have have the same 5 point system.

Does the 3500 SRW have the Ford Super Duty copied front suspension... errr :h

    I mean 3 link suspension?

Well none in my area yet :M so I haven't seen em in person. The photos I've seen are impressive, make my arms look like something like a Nissan. Guy over on a Ram forum posted his personnel photos from the under side. Wow I was impressed at all the changes.

Not sure about the color scheme here, maybe the blue is for ford, red for gm and yellow for ram :B

I also like the stability control they added...off topic I know, but nice on a dually.....Rick, did you look at the rear spring pack? The 10' and the 12' were basically identical...not the 13', completely different animal underneath the exterior.

Belive the new front suspension helps the truck ride smoother, even the wife seemed to think it was a quiter smoother ride than the 12, and that's saying something when the wife makdes that comment:)

And a wife dear to your heart. I'm really debating selling my 2010 for the 2013. It's not even barely broke in yet. 26,000 miles with some goodies added.

My 10' had about 38,000 trouble free miles on it...I hope the 13' will be as dependable and reliable as the 10'...I really like the truck...When I saw ALL the improvements they were making, I just thought, "I got to have this truck"....didn't "need" it, per say, but really wanted it...got a little over 500 miles on it now and even the wife just wants to "go out for a ride in it"...SWEET:B
