If you don't get the tow package you will have no problems with standard above the bed rails.

I have rails in my current rig and don't mind having them in a new truck. You said there is no problem with standard above the bed rails. Can you please explain... Is there a mounting kit currently available? The Ram dealer I spoke with told me nothing was available yet to transfer my Reese R16. Do you have more information?
