Say, another question for NC Hauler:
perhaps unrelated to the conversation at hand here, but I'll ask anyway.
Jim, have you weighed your new truck yet????
Reason I ask is to see what payload capacity you have, given that the GVWR for yours is (I believe) 14,000 pounds.
A really nice number to know, especially considering those (like me) who are planning on going the truck camper route.
Thank you!
No, haven't weighed it yet, I have a weigh station down from where I work on I26 that I usually go to....I work 12's Wed and Thurs, then am planning on going up to our camp this weekend...I get a chance next week, I'll weigh it....I'd like to have a full tank of fuel when I do it, but I'll let you know the specifics when I weigh it...I figure it's going to weigh more than my 2010 due to the fact that the Aisin weighs over 230# more than the 68RFE tranny and I believe the frame, as well as the heavier front and rear suspension will cause it to come in heavier than the 10' (didn't get a chance to weigh the 12' either, didn't have it long enough:)).....
I will weigh first chance I get and post the weight on here, unless someone with my configuration truck post before I do......
Jim
