I just ordered a 2016 Ram 3500 and I know it will sit much higher than my 2012 Ram 1500 and im curious if I need to buy a new hitch shank. Could you please let me know how high it is from the ground ...

Why don't you go by the dealer's lot with a tape measure. That's what I did when I was worried about rail height. 4WD vehicles may be different BTW.
