"I dunno Don, trash GM if you want, but there it is. Who the driver is has a lot to do with brake life. Never driven a Dodge/Cummins more than about a couple hundred miles, so no base line to see if long brake life is possible, but I'm betting if it is I can do it.

Not "trashing" GM one bit, I have owned several, and routinely work on them. I have never seen one not one of any make go 100K+ on pads, never.
I paid $245 dollars for the last set of Raybestos Professional Grade Ceramic pads and they went almost 60K. Would have got maybe another 10/15K had the caliper slides not seized up. But I probably only had 10,000 miles of towing on these pads. So I decided to go with NAPA's loaded premium calipers, rotors and extreme service pads. Note: the store traded out the pads that came with the calipers for the ESP.
Just a heads up no I don't ride my brakes. I don't what tell the last minute to brake. In layman's terms, I don't trash my truck and would have only get around 70-75K on what was rated one of the top pads out there.
