I have the 4.10 gears in my 2500 and I can tell you it pulls like a beast. I know it sounds cliche, but pulling an SUV on a 7500 lb trailer in back over long distances and I really do forget that it's back there. Over time, you will learn your shift points and where the engine needs to be to make power. A 4.10 really makes no difference gas mileage wise to me because when I'm towing the mileage isn't a factor, the power is. When I drive unloaded, I'm granny with a short right leg.
