I agree. At the end of the day you will know your trailer and be better prepared to deal with issues if you make an effort to fix things youself instead of taking back to the dealer for every loose screw. While it is unfortunate and not right, I find it less frustrating to try and address the warranty issues myself as opposed to trying to suffer through the incompetence and BS of the dealer.
Me: "The water pump cycles every 5 minutes or so"
Them: "We had it on for 2 hrs and it never cycled"
Me: "Your right, I made it up" Got home and in five minutes "burp" goes the pump.
Me: "There is no vent line attached to the vent port on the fresh water tank, when you are filling it you loose alot of water out the vent port"
Them: "We will take a look" upon my return "yeah it never had one from the factory"
Me: "if they forgot the brake shoes does that mean you shouldn't put them on" and added it myself.
And I could go on. People say buy local. Next time I will buy in Ohio and take my chances. I don't need their kind of "help"
