- EvenKeelExplorerWe purchased a 2014 AF32A in October of last year, checked it out at the dealership in January, and it was delivered to us in May.
Absolutely love it, has all the quality we expected from a northwood product. Yes, it's heavy, but it is solid! We fully expect it to last at least as long as we do... and we've got hopefully a lot of years left.
We put the ProPride 3P hitch on it, and it pulls like a dream (with our 6.7 F350 dually).
It is extremely comfortable with an excellent layout. Very convenient when our son and his wife and daughter, plus our two other grandkids, spend time with us. Gotta love the solid wood doors in our bedroom!
We are well pleased with our 32A, and wish we could spend more time in it.
Good luck with your decision.
Len and Ann - keymastrExplorerIt was not a typo, the standard is 8'6" and the silver fox is 8' 0". Anyone know why?
- keymastrExplorerWas that a typo or are you saying the silver fox is 6" narrower than the standard? Surely it must be the other way around? Schucks! Now I have to look it up on the website or it will bug me all night, ha ha.
- Heap64ExplorerCurrently in the travel trailer line the Silver Foxes are still 8' wide and have the molded fiberglass backsides. The standard Arctic Fox line is 8'6" wide and have backsides like the sidewalls.
So far I haven't had any issues, except for it was close at Jedediah Smith Redwoods Campground but we made into our spot with a few inches to spare. - larvExplorerI looked at Arctic Foxes b/4 I bought my Timber Ridge. I liked the Foxes but isn't the Silver Fox Edition 6" wider than a standard Arctic Fox? One place I camp in AZ (have to pull thru a gate) the Silver Fox wouldn't make it thru so it was a deal breaker for me.
Larv - DarrellQ2001ExplorerExpensive! I wanted the same TT, and this is the best deal I could get on trading my 2012 Everlite 32MKS:
Bank loan on your unit is $19900 according to my hard copy NADA, with a suggested list of $26550. My hope is that it will sell for somewhere between $12000 and $15000…which could give me the typical 20-25% profit.
The best I can do is…
MSRP: $55,508 + 2845 freight
$31,000 + freight + your trade… - Heap64ExplorerThat is a newer model so you probably won't find too many with first hand experiance. It looks like a great floorplan. Looks like you have the truck for it. We like our 25Y and have had no problems with it.
- carringbExplorerHEAVY!
Other than that, I'm not sure you can do any better in a pull behind. - n7bsnExplorerWe owned a 99 24-5N (no longer made) and a 2012 29-5E (no longer made) and (obviously) think well of Northwoods products.
That being said, we spent three hours, after the Dealer's Tech lead us through the delivery PDI, in the dealer lot, before we went in and signed the paperwork.
We looked at everything, checked everything, looked into every hole, cupboard, cabinet. Looked for everything we could and checked everything we could. I brought a ladder and a creeper along, we checked EVERYTHING.
Found one thing the Tech had signed off as "checked", that I didn't see how he had (we couldn't lower the spare).
If that's what it takes, spend the day checking (ANY brand) before you sign.
I'm going to guess that this is a "left-over" 2014 model on the dealer lot (since they've been shipping 2015s for several weeks now), so my "custom order" advise would be pointless.
PS you know about the Northwood forum, right? As I recall new people get 30 days of access (after that they want money)
