2014 f150 max trailer pkg

3.73s in that truck are perfect for towing. With today's torque and transmissions, 4.10s etc are no longer needed. Not many "mountains" in WI.

You must have missed the part where the engine is the Ecoboost. I had a 2012 with the boosted V6 and 3:73 ratio and it is a pulling beast. I was pulling a 7,500 lb. 5th wheel and it would pull it as good as my 2016 Superduty Powerstroke pulls a 14,000 lb 5th wheel with a 3:55 ratio!

You do know that 3.73 rears is the preferred ratio for towing don't you. and pretty much the lowest gear offered in a off the lot F150. Most come with 3.55s or higher. 3.73 also is the gear for the max tow 150. You can get a 4.10 in that year. IF you could find one. However. the tow rating for the 4.10, is higher than the 3.73 with the same engine. How do I know? I have the Ford towing guide right in front of me.

Finding both packages together is hard. Sort of like finding a F250 with 4.30 gears.

If I were in the market for a late model F150, I'd also be looking for one with the Max Payload package in addition to the basic trailer package.
