Get on to Jeep and let them know they are jeopardising sales by not doing so and find out exactly what makes the difference between the off road and regular suspensions. As others have said, a different tire wheel combination, lower tire pressure and softer shocks might help if they are available, but it might not be quite so simple. This thing has front struts and the off road version has a higher ride height, so suspension and steering geometry will be different from the others.
Interesting that OP is the only one who says its harsh. Very subjective. I own one - see my comments above.
