This is very much worth a try. I put up with a rough riding truck for 20 years before I finally broke down and put some Rancho 9000's on it with adjustable damping. Now I wish that I had done it as soon as I got the truck.
That said, I think there is a trend towards stiffer "sportier" suspensions. I cannot find anything these days that rides like my '72 Chrysler did. Then again, maybe I am getting more fragile.
In the early 80s my Dad had a late-70s Cadillac and, to this day, I remember how plush that thing rode! I've been in many late-model luxury cars and have never experienced a ride that could touch that Cadillac; it really was like riding a cloud.
Now, make a sharp maneuver at high speed and we've gone from cloud riding to
no bueno :E
On topic, I'm on board with a call to Jeep to see if swapping for softer springs &/or shocks is an option...who knows, if they're feeling magnanimous they may do it for labor alone or even at no charge.
