Our refridgerator will start if we have the controls set to "LP"
When we are traveling we never connect to shore power... so we can leave the Refrigerator on "LP" setting all of the time.... if I'm going to run the generator for a long time we might put it on "AU"
Note: I disconnected the 12 VDC wires on the back of the fridge years ago... it switched to 12VDC while we were away from the camper for awhile... we didn't hear the alarm... everything thawed. Now it's 120VAC at nome, LP on the road.
It's very unlikely that we'll ever cook anything on top of the hot plate stove... especially since we boiled 2 eggs on the propane stove for less than 15 minutes in the camper just that one time since November of 2002. We eat in resturants or bring prepared food to the camper most every day. The rest of the time we have sandwichs, salads, etc. Breakfast is almost always milk and cereal
No, we don't make or drink coffie...but if we made coffie we'd probable have an electric coffie maker.
In case we have a guest... or get desperate I bought an electric hot plate. It is rated for 1000 watts but when I measuered it:
after initial start up at 900W on HIGH it dropped back in about 45 seconds to...
High:..... 865W
Medium.... 744W
Low....... 118W
You can see the 14" pizza stone in the oven,
We can set the one eyed hot plate on top of the Convection oven or on the counter.
I also found the hot plates with 2 eyes or even 3 eyes.
