This is again an informative thread. As I can see from the comments it is an individual choice on how each of us does things. I have found that I always take away new and benefitical info. I like that KILL A WATT meter, going to get one. I remmeeber those cup coils...now where did I put mine or maybe it is at my Dad's place will check in Novemeber.
I think I will go with a slide stove top (propane) and micro (great to cook corn and broc plus DW likes bacon that way).
The whole idea of enuf battery, inverter and solar is appealing with gen back up...I am pursueing this. Thx for the fine report and the education.
