Actually, the fridge is on propane 24/7 for up to 6 months at a time.
and, we use our built in propane generator for the airconditioner and microwave. We can now run the microwave for most of our needs on the inverter... and sunlight of course.
We seldom use the furnace and the PlatCat sips propane.
We are 3 season campers... if it gets cold or snows in late fall or early spring we move furthur south, if it gets bitter cold at high altitudes we work our way back down.
Of course, if it gets to hot we head north or find high mountains.
