I agree, N should be neutral but I think the new electronics have something to do with it. I'll check it out tomorrow. That new Ram 1500 with the diesel would be a great toad if indeed 4 down.
Not the transmission in Neutral, the transfer case in Neutral....disconnects the entire driveline and no need to remove the driveshaft.
Might be worth checking with the dealer, what parts of the transfer case are turning while towing down the road, and are those parts getting lubricated?
