BTW I was running 3:73 gears in the truck, I think the 6.4 would do better with the 4:10s
Previously I had a 2011 Silverado 3500 CCSB Duramax, excellent truck but issues with the high pressure fuel pump and engine oil pump turned me off and decided to try a gasser. I will say I am spoiled by diesels though! and also if we were not planning extended 3 month plus tours through the southwest, rockies and to Alaska I would have likely just run the 6.4 truck, after all I had the dang thing almost paid for. I will say, personally, I enjoy driving the CTD ALOT, 800 ftlbs of torque at 1600 rpm or so is just nice, loaded or unloaded! Just sayin. Check out TFLs tow test of the 6.4 up the Ike Gauntlet, very interesting.
