Don't know about Dodge but I just went from a 2500 to a 3500 single rear wheel and almost no difference. On the GM the biggest difference is a overload spring that don't engage unless a load is in the box and bigger wheels and brakes. Not much price difference and you can upgrade to bigger RV anytime.
