Dodge finally re-did their specs page and it finally represents the Hemi and not a base engine. The 8 Speed for the Hemi looks to be great. Finally a transmission that won't suck all the power out ...

Fred are you sure the ad you saw wasn't for the 410hp gas 6.4L Hemi? Reason I ask is that just a few hours ago I saw, for the first time, a commercial for the 6.4L Hemi in 1-tons.
The "theme" of the ad was that now you can expect a gas engine to live up to the rest of the truck's capability (my interpretation).
I think Ram is going to sell a ton of 6.4L 3500s, both SRW & DRW. A 410hp engine that likes to rev running through a modern, well-spaced 6-speed trans sounds pretty tasty for RV use.
