I think it depends highly on the design of the cap on your fifth wheel. I was backing my Citation into the back yard last summer and thought "what is that rubbing sound" and then stopped and looked out the back window and instantly noticed the cap of the trailer was right against the back window! Needless to say I pulled forward right away and was lucky there was no damage. I do have a slider hitch and have been moving it back into the maneuvering position since then when backing in at home and all has been fine. We are due to pick up our Corsair next week which has a much more aerodynamic cap so I'm hoping this issue will be a thing of the past. If it is I may sell my current hitch set up and go with the B&W RVK 3600.
