Paylod: This is a showstopping winner for the Chev. My old Quad Cab Ram rated 1610 lbs for payload. A 2014 equipped similarly to what I have now (Big Horn Crew Cab 4X4) rates 1417 lbs for payload with the 5'7" box. You'll note that Ram doesn't offer the larger box sizes with their Crew Cabs. The Chev with the 6'6" box, crew cab, Max Trailering package and all the other LT trim-line bells and whistles rates 1751 lbs for payload. So apples to apples or apples to oranges, the Chev is stouter from a payload perspective while still providing the cargo capacity that I need out of a standard size bed.
With the 2014 RAM Crew Cab, you can get the 5'7" bed or the 6'4" bed in the 1500. 2500/3500 it is 6'4" bed oor 8' bed.
