I am pretty happy with my 2011 chevy diesel HD. When it comes down to another purchase, the three top factors will be:
1) Reliability
2) MPG
3) Engine brake.
HP and Torque are important, but the 3 brands are very similar these days.
Looks and style are important, but will always get trumped by the above 3 factors.
Factor 4 (in the future) could be DEF and the way the specific brand addresses it.
I would like to see Ford get a better engine brake, something in the same class as GM or Dodge. Maybe the newer ones are better, I don't know. Just in 2011, Ford engine brakes didn't perform as well as Dodge and GM. Slowing down these big rigs on steep grades, is something I consider important.
Nice to see the 2014 GM MPG numbers are high. Good job GM, if they are real. Time will tell. Too many mfg'ers are lying about MPG of late.
