DUH! Without the torque you have NO HP. Revert to the formula for calculating HP as HP is only a calculation NOT measured action. Torque is the froce that turns the drive wheel to what ever RPM you desire. Nothing but torque turns the drive wheel, period! You really need to do some research and review some engineering manuals and get an understanding of Physics and the Law of Physics and motion!
And some people wonder why this forum is not nearly as active as it was several years ago. I really do not think it is necessary to make someone feel like a squashed bug.
Yep, sure enough...lots of people have been scared off these forums with bully comments like those you quote. I'm an old pro at this forum, I'm not an engineer or a scientist. Just a regular white collar worker who loves camping and all things towing related.
I followed what Travelnuts said to do...and I came to the same conclusion that I had before I so vehemently offended him/her... HP is a measure of work... TQ is a measure of force. Maybe, Travelnuts felt it was soo obvious that it was worthy of inconsiderate and unprofessional comment coupled with the degrading tone. Even the "duh" was a confirmation that what I said was accurate.
I have never understood why people forget that behind threads and replies there are actual people.
Thanks!
