So wrong! Thermal expansion force of the fuel has so much to do with driving down pressure on the piston thus turning the crankshaft.
LOL, Ok, have it your way.
Want to race?
Since you think BTU's will help you I will let you pick gasoline at 116,000 BTU's / gallon.
I pick methanol at 57,000 BTU's / gallon.
Cya, at the top of the hill. I will be outside my truck waiting for you. :B
Oooooo now you want methanol?
K, lets race again.
I pick nitromethane at 47,000 BTU's / gallon.
As you can see, nitromethane with the lowest BUT's / gallon is the most powerful fuel used in an engine. (there is a reason drag racers use it)
Methanol, comes in at second place as a fuel as far as power goes and it has more BTU's than nitro.
Gasoline has more BTU's yet and it is the least powerful fuel. (unless you want to throw diesel in there)
When we going racing? :B Or towing for that matter? :B
Look it up. And how am I so wrong now? :B
