Not bad for MPG on a gas truck and heavy camper.
My 09 D/A doesn't do much better for MPG.
Seems like good mileage but as asked above, bet it's at slow speeds. Set the cruise at 75 and watch the needle drop!
Grit Dog -- yeah, probably so. But I usually run at 60-65 on highways and slower on back roads. We go on these trips to enjoy the back road scenery and wildlife, not to run as fast as we can to "someplace" so it's fine for us to see where we're going as we go, not to look in the mirror at something we missed.
At 75 mph, it takes more to control the truck safely too - so, why do it and struggle. Yeah, I know, some need to speed due to time constraints, but if you can't enjoy the ride, why bother?
We're pretty happy with the performance all in all. Like the six-speed vs the four-speed we had in the 2003 6.0L w/3:73 -- and the 4:10 gives the power without losing the mpg. I'm guessing the 3:73 would gain in mpg w/6.0L, but lose muscle in the hills. This is a very good combo. We were hoping to get 10 mpg - so, nearly 10.8 is a nice surprise.
