After researching online, GM knew about this (CP4 fuel pump) issue before we bought our new truck in 2015!
We were lucky this happened at our seasonal campground & not while towing our 5th wheel in traffic.
Posting this as a warning to all of you with a GM diesel 2011-2016
Your warning should not be limited to the 2011-16 Duramax.
2011-current Powerstroke diesel

Looks like GM is the only one to drop the CP4 in the last three years...
