- 3campingloversExploreri purchased the x254 a few weeks ago and was finally able to go camping last weekend. This camper is the best RV I have ever owned! Everything about this Jayco is awesome from the expandable electric rear king size bed to the bunk beds that can be used for storage. There is plenty of storage and room for my family. Jayco. Jayco hit a homerun with this RV.

Thanks, I had no idea that the 254 is not considered a hybrid. Thanks for setting me straight. I will check the other site.
the term "hybrid" travel trailer comes from the blending of a popup and a travel trailer. body is a TT but with popup-like canvas tent ends, hence the term hybrid.
problem is that some RV manufacturers confuse the issue by calling hybrids "expandables".
but they also call rear hard-sided bed slide TT's "expandable".
which would mean any RV with a slideout, could be called "expandable".:h - 3campingloversExplorerThanks, I had no idea that the 254 is not considered a hybrid. Thanks for setting me straight. I will check the other site.

Hello,
Does anyone own a jayco jay feather x254? I am looking to possibly purchase one spring 2016.
the 254 model is NOT a hybrid.
it's a regular TT with the bed slide in the rear, instead of on the side like other regular TTs.
it has to have canvas bunk ends, to be a hybrid.
suggest you check the TT forum here instead.
