2015 LANCE 1050S

Well I sold my 2014 Adventurer 910 DB(dry bath) last month and looking at a 2015 Lance 1050s at a dealer here in Texas. Loved the Adventurer Quality but looking slightly larger TC with bigger Dry bath, Cabover area, and need extra sleeping. I have owned an older Lance before but anyone out there with this model or late model lance owners. Appreciate opinions.
  • I'm no help on the Lance, but wondering how hard it was to sell the Adventurer. Cabovers are rare here in Texas. I've given tours of mine to people that had never seen one before.
  • It's almost the exact same layout as my non slide 1055 with the dinette in the slide and a slightly different positioning of the bathroom sink and toilet. It fits a full sized queen mattress. the Dinette table will drop down to make a bed (full but maybe just 5'11" long. the cooking area is good with easy access to the fridge. The slide will take away some exterior storage but more interior. The toilet position will give you more room than in the 1055. It's aluminum framed and solar prewired. Drawback on the bed is that the drivers side has the sink back splash and small shelf so you can only get in and out of bed on the passenger side. I was looking at the 1050s when I came across the screaming deal on my 1055 that was too good to pass up
  • I own this very model...rate it a AAA+ rig and I am completely satisfied with the purchase. Mine is a 2014 that I bought new. Upgraded from a Lance 915. The few things I don't care for: Tank and battery monitor location, dinette cushions are not very thick (easy to change). I have it on a Ford F250 crew cab diesel with airbags and Helwig on rear. No issues with this set up.Let me know if you have any other questions.
  • Buzzcut1, Thanks for input. Yes I did notice the back splash near the sink as a con but I like the roomier dry bath. My Adventurer dry bath was nice but extremely tight. Drop down bunk for extra sleeping for Grandkids when needed. This year model has two storage compartments in exterior of slide. Also has an Onan 2500 generator with only 4 hrs. on it, back camera system, rear awning, Maggie rack on roof, prewired for solar, TV and entertainment system, and also looks the AC has a controlled thermostat so the fan will not run all night. Hated that. Made the deal yesterday with dealer and pending physical inspection Monday and everything checks out ok will bring TC home. Had to purchase extended brackets though for my DRW. Dealer is going to will install for me.
  • Hey Brent, Sold the Adventurer in 2 weeks after posting on craigslist but sold it in Syracuse,N.Y.at our seasonal campsite where we stay from May to October with our fifthwheel.

314fwl, Thanks for the info also!
  • Billy Ray. run the jacks up and down a few times with the camper load, paying attention to the fronts with the dually extenders just to make sure the dealer aligned them correctly and there is no binding IE: if they are angled in just a hair (or Out) they will show a slight bend at full up, and when you lower the tc onto the truck bed they will snap over as they unload. I speak from personal experience.
  • I bought 2 campers with jacks extensions and all front extenders had bend on them, so that become "industry standard"
I removed the extenders with jacks from the camper, put the plate into my driveway slot and using pry bar, was able to straighten them.
