It is no longer just V6 vs V8 vs displacement...all changed with variable
displacement. As a V8 can run as a V4 or whatever displacement they
can attain
Forced fed is another factor
They are all now direct injected, but how they manage that will be
the factor is what matters
Turtle says it all and he is one of the resident experts for the track
component
Truck and more so for those who tow heavy requires different metrics
of an ICE, even an electric. Boils down to one main thing...duty cycle
A race ICE running WOT for hours has way less stresses than towing
heavy running WOT for hours. Maybe a flesh and blood analogy...a
person running flat out for a race has less stress than the same person
running flat out with a LARGE weight in tow
Goes to another thread and where my preference is for larger displacement

NOT variable displacement
