Congrats! Curious if you drove/considered a new Ford 6.7 PSD?
was wondering that too, honeslty the Ram CTD would be a close second choice for me too but I love my 6.7 ford.
I did before I ordered my RAM 3500. The GM offerings didn't compare well to Ford and RAM. All said and done it came down to this, Ford dealers around me were a bit arrogant and didn't want to deal, RAM did. I didn't care much for Ford's interior aesthetics but liked RAM's. I know the PS is faster but I'm not racing, just pulling and nothing beats the longer stroke of the Cummins for low end pull and fuel economy.
I reached the same conclusion. I liked the Ram and Super Duty, not so much the GM. I thought the Ram looked nicer at the lower trim levels which is what I was shopping so that played a role, but honestly the two biggest factors between the two for me were that I thought the Cummins engine was superior to the Powerstroke in a number of ways, and the chassis in the Ram is a lot better right now which provides a much nicer blend of ride and handling and the truck just felt more solid.
As far as diesel goes, yeah there's no substitute. These new gas trucks are perfectly capable and I get that, but the heart wants what the heart wants. :B
This pretty well sums up my decision and thoughts as well!
Yes, I considered the Ford and have driven them for the last several years. But I too just didn't like the powerstroke as well as the cummins. And I also couldn't find a Ford dealer that was willing to work with me as well, even trading in a Ford for Ford. Plus, from a price stand point, the Tradesman package nicely equipped is very hard to beat.
On a side note...I can't figure out how to post pictures. Help?
