Couple of comments: the correct name is not Alcan but Alaska Highway
Those are hares you saw - not rabbits. I don't really know the difference but hares are definitely big bunnies and fun to watch.
I know that's it's Alaskan Highway, there are numerous road signs that still refer it as the ALCAN and that is why I used ALCAN instead of Alaskan Hwy.
Those big bunnies were fun to watch, some would just sit there and other were all over the place. I did find a article on Hares vs
