Built by a driveline shop that says they have built a good number of them and had no problems. They guarantee their work.
Heavy walled tube.
Searching the Internet I find many proponents and many negative about this.
I’ll let you know how this works out. - Grit_dogNavigatorYou’ll love it.
How many miles? That’s a pretty new truck. - hotpepperkidExplorerLube the slip joint
- Lar_sExplorerHow do you lube the slip joint behind the center bearing when it's covered with a rubber seal?
- FishermanExplorerUse an injector needle on the grease gun.
- ivbinconnedExplorer IIIt wouldn’t tighten up with grease.
- ACZLExplorerIMO, sounds like a U-joint if at Hiway speed. Had a '91 GMC 2500 ext cab, LB, 4x4, 454 and it had a shudder upon take off. Ended up that GM re-located the driveshafts so angle of things was better. Cured the shudder. Don't recall now the driveshaft configuration......sorry.
- ivbinconnedExplorer IILearned today that now Ram has factory aluminum driveshafts. Friend has a 2020 with one.
Will install mine tonight.
