2016 F 350 --which fuse

I am having an issue with my trailer lights. I have no brake or turn signal lights when plugged into my truck. I bought a 7 pin tester and it does not light up for the brake or turn signal lights. My owners manual for the truck does not specify which fuse or relay I need to look at...Anyone with a late model Superduty that knows which fuse or relay to check?
  • Turns out it was the controller module was loose. Only posting this in case someone else has the same issue. Dealer took care of it.
  • This shows left and right turn signals in the fuse block under the dash. Fuses thirteen and fourteen.
    Check your interior cover.
    Ford manual
  • None of them are marked for the brake or turn signals....the book labels them only as trailer tow park lamps, trailer tow electric brake....nothing about trailer brakes or turn signals....book is not helpful at all.
  • The fuse locations and what they are for are in your owners manual they are on page 221 for my 2015 F350. I find its easier to download the owners manual from Ford on my computer, easier to read and find things.
  • Should be under the hood, driver's side wheel well. You will need to check the cover to find the fuse number. There is on some two fuses for each trailer function, one control and one power.
  • Had same problem with my 06 E450 turns out it was a fuse. It was a 20 amp fuse located in the fuse box under the hood. Don' t rember exactly witch one. Easy to check with a test light.

    Good luck

  • It's not likely the fuse. Take apart the connector just behind the 7 pin plug on the truck and see if everything works there. You will need a continuity tester and a diagram so you know which wire is for brake/turn signal (it's the same wire). Test to a good ground. It's probably the connector or the wiring in the 7 pin plug on the truck.
