I get over 9 MPG with mine through some fairly steep hills pulling a 5th wheel that has a GVWR of 10,000. Not sure how much it weighs loaded. My son has pulled his trailer which weighs quite a bit less than my 5th wheel and gets about the same mileage as I do with my camper but he drives a lot faster than I do.
I'd like to have one of the new 7.3 gassers but it probably won't happen. If it does it'll be several years down the road because my truck only has about 52,000 miles on it and I don't drive it very much.
