?? I don't own a Tundra and have no dog in the fight but it was a game changer for a Non-Big 3 full size truck. The popularity seems to be fading a bit but for a couple years their ad campaign was smoking hot and it was the talk of the 1/2 ton truck world.
I don't know that it faded as sales have never really been that bright. That is not to say it is not a good pickup but Toyota for whatever reason has not had great success in this market.
I love my Tundra. It was indeed a game changer for the Big 3, but it was never really a big seller. Toyota was marketing it pretty good in 2007 and 2008, then when the economy tanked they kinda gave up marketing it. Its numbers are still pretty low but like I said, I LOVE this truck!!!
I hope the Nissan has success and I really hope that they venture into 8000+ GVWR territory and give some options besides the Big 3. The more competitors, the better off we are as consumers. My next truck will likely be a 3/4 ton or heavier... I'd like to have more options than current exist.
