2016 Ram 3500 SRW tire size
Looking at new trucks and notice that several new trucks are coming with 18 or 20" tires. I will be hauling a 4000 lb TC. Any preferences on size and why? Thanks in advance!

- Check the door jamb for the 'Tire and Load Information' sticker.....what is the payload (cargo carrying capacity) of that SRW???
- A 4000 pound truck camper is most likely going to over load a SRW 3500. You need a dually or put 19.5 rims and tires on it! However you will still be over the placard RGAWR. Chris

But do dubs look good on a super duty to you?- Me again is right in that with 4klbs you'll be right at the published tire and rim ratings, likely over a bit. Depends where CoG of the camper is, but presuming you're looking at long beds if you're looking at air suspension.
Long bed may put just enough weight forward to stay under those limits.
Either way, long or short bed, the truck is easily up to the task. I'm over 4klbs on a 10 year old short bed version of what you're looking at and its been cross country and to Alaska and back. Last 5000mi trip was actually on new ram OE 20" tires and wheels. No problem. Cabman 850 wrote:

You may want the mod or adm tp move you over to our truck camper forum for better input from members who have the same truck and a 4k-5k truck camper.
If they don't then check out the tc forum. Many choose to go with aftermarket 19.5" wheels and tires for 4xxx load capacities.- My OEM Ford 18" rims and tires were fine for my 4000 lb truck camper. Adding the tongue weight of my enclosed trailer was when I had to be anal on how I loaded the camper and trailer to stay under the wheel ratings. Once I went to 19.5's, I didn't worry about 8000 lbs on the rear axle.

I don't know what "dubs" are.... But perhaps I'm not as hip as you.
