While on the subject of DEF, Ford and GM both ought to add a DEF tank gauge too. It's nice to have a good idea of what you've got in there instead of just waiting for the idiot light to come on, which may not be at the most opportune moment.
Once you get to 30% remaining on the GM the guage gives you a remaining DEF reading. above that it just says "DEF OK". And it give a remainin mileage at times as well. 30% is about 800 miles.
yes, a reading of 100% to 0% would be nicer, but the 30% give me more than enough time to refill.
moving the DEF fill from under the hood would be nice as well.
