Great job on Fords part! Off hand I don't remember who is building the 10 speed Ford or GM but they are going to sell a ton of them. I'm waiting for Ford to bring out their 3.0 diesel in the F-150 with that 10 speed. I bet that is going to out sell the Eco-boost and end up killing those engines in Ford F-150. Time will tell.
As for the cost of a half ton truck, the people buying fully loaded pick-ups are using them (for the most part) as their primary mode of transportation. As others have said, you don't have to pay $65K to $74K on a LD truck if you don't want to. Then add in the $7K to
$10K off on half ton trucks and it is all relative.
GM and FCA had better bring it with their next full remodel if they want to stay in the LD pick up market. Toyota and Nissan's pick ups are going to be all but done in North America I think.
