Easy decision, get the 3500 and never look back. The 3500 only has overload springs, which wouldn't change the empty ride between the 2500 and 3500. They should drive the EXACT same empty, and the 3500 will likely give you an additional 1500 +/- lbs of payload for a little more money.
If you don't have to worry about higher registration costs, taxes, commercial regulations, etc then the 3500 is the clear winner here.
Either way though, you will be happy with the truck. D/A is a great combo.
