At least on diesels they recommend checking the coolant annually. You can buy test strips from Amazon or the dealer will do it. At a cost of course.
NOT on the Cummins, Ford yes not so sure about the GM. - I would be really surprised if the radiator didn't have a drain plug. I do agree with theoldwizard that a 2017 truck should need a radiator fluid change. I changed mine on my '12 Power Stroke at ~100k miles. Currently have 153k miles and still have original water pump. The OAT fluid Ford installs is some high quality stuff.

- theoldwizard1Explorer II2017 is WAY TOO EARLY to change the coolant ! I have a 20 year old truck and the coolant has only been changed TWICE, the last change was about a year ago ! If was amazingly clean !
When you DO need to change the coolant I highly recommend staying with the appropriate Motorcraft brand.
Pg 580 of the 2015 F250 Owner's Manual recommend first coolant change at 100,000 miles, 60,000 miles if towing ! - Grit_dogNavigator III’ll let you come do a couple coolant changes for me so you can get it out of your system....
- carringbExplorerHonestly I'd leave it alone. The new coolants last a very long time as long as oxygen isn't introduced. You may inadvertently shorten the lifespan of your cooling system by periodically draining and filling. There's good reason why they've made it harder to service.

- GrooverExplorer IIIf it is cross flow you may be able to just siphon the coolant out. I assume that you have a good reason to want it out but it should be good for at least 5 years.
- agesilausExplorer IIII believe radiator drains are a thing of the past. They want you to get a radiator flush when you change the antifreeze now.
