I'm impressed with all the new technology on the 2017 Ford's.
That adaptive cruise control feature is neat!
Of course, I realize this feature has been on many luxury model cars for several years now, but nice to see it being introduced into the "big" truck market.
Here's to hoping all these new features work without gremlins for Ford.
It is guarantied to work as well as the Ford Sync system. Chris
Oh well, (and I had the Ford Sync system in my 2011 F-350) the gremlins will be busy then. :B - alboyExplorerIM not a Ford fan, but do like the new look, almost looks like a GMC,LOL.Its great that mfgs keep raising the bar,the result is really great trucks with a great deal of refinement.

The BIG problem is when the name calling starts and I have been called plenty!!! If ya don't agree with someone counter them but keep the name calling in your head. These threads get closed when they start getting personal. - transamz9Explorer

Think the title of this thread is self explanatory. Why don't you Ram boys take your Ram love fest to another thread.
Little touchy because GM out sold Blue Oval trucks last month?
We will go away if Troy stays out of RAM threads. How is that for deal????
Chris
Not touchy at all. The twins out sell Ford often.
Not interested in whether a Ram has a painted bumper or the usual rusted one.:D
I believe if you would read back they were talking about Fords too. Also the OP was mentioning Rams. Take a chill pill. The thread was actually rolling pretty smooth until your comment so who's the trolled in this one. BigToe wrote:
I am a Ford owner, yet I share the same frustration as MeAgain (Chris) with respect to FishOnOne (Troy) trolling Ram related threads for no other reason but to make derisive comments and talk about Fords... leading to the Ram threads closure, while FishOnOne's Ford marketing threads live on, indefinitely, and even redundantly.
I used to tolerate the brand bashing as a sort of benign reversion to childhood that all of us experience at some point after we retire from the adult pressures in the world of work, and succumb to the loss of faculties when we age.
But this is getting ridiculous. Case in point: A few months ago, I, as a current Ford owner with 4 Ford trucks for as many decades, started a thread on the 2019 Ram/Cummins heavy duty redo that will coincide with two key anniversaries for both Ram and Cummins. I thought it would be fun to have a place to gather both facts and rumors about this iconic tow vehicle for readers of this forum with similar interests. However, FishOnOne joined the discussion, and the thread only lasted seven pages before it was closed. So what did FishOnOne say?FishOnOne wrote:
- In 1988 I drove the first Dodge Ram 5.9 cummins... The one thing I do recall was when you would shut down the engine the belt squeal pretty loud...
- BTW... If the 5.0 cummins engineers have anything to do with the upcoming 2019 cummins, I sure wouldn't pull the trigger on one.
- I seriously doubt Ford designed a all new diesel engine and transmission along with designing a all new truck platform and moving the F650/F750 from Mexico to the USA to let that market go. I'm seeing quite a few of these trucks on the road so I suspect they're selling well enough. Once the new drivetrain/truck chassis' proves to be cost effective, I'm sure these trucks will gain market share. The Power Stroke that rated for 500k miles and a gas V10 that's backed by a bullet proof transmission give the buyer some nice cost effective options.
- Who cares what was in the F650/F750 2015 trucks. What's important is they're now built in the USA with the best medium duty engine/transmission to date.
- You know you used to be more diplomatic when you drove a Toyota... I can't help wonder why you allow the Ram mafia to continue to get a free pass, but anyone says anything factual about a ram and your all over them!
- When you start addressing the ram mafia directly then I'll take your comments serious, but your little snarking comment shows your position so I doubt we'll get positive results.
Other than the two derisive comments about Cummins engines that are not even in the current Ram truck, never mind the new 2019, what relevance did any of the above posts have with 2019 Ram trucks? None.
I don't own a Ram. Never have. But I certainly share MeAgain's frustration at FishOnOne's perpetual interference in Ram related discussions. It certainly dampens my participation in this forum. Not that I'm missed, but one has to wonder just how many other people are driven away by it?
BTW, the hypocrisy of my post is not lost on me, as these comments have nothing to do with the 2017 Superduty that FishOnOne is very effectively marketing for Ford. However, the immediately preceding dialog between MeAgain, spud1957, and FishOnOne provided the context which organically gave rise to this spontaneous response.
The more I use the internet, the more I learn about how clever forum sponsors are in the less than transparent ways products are now being marketed.
Pretty classy to take ones words out of context... In addition I'm a GM fan as well, but you obviously missed that point too.

In 1988 I drove the first Dodge Ram 5.9 cummins that was delivered to our area for the county fair for display and exposure to the farmers and ranchers who drove nothing but diesel trucks. The one thing I do recall was when you would shut down the engine the belt squeal pretty loud which I thought was pretty cool, but I have to say todays diesel trucks are a lot more fun to drive.
The rest of those responses should be simple to comprehend the why's...
Enjoy...
