2023 Ford Super Duty Reveal

Your opinion…the truck is just a bucket of chicken?

It's been on 18 minutes and I'm bored to death.

Here's the new 2023 Ford Super Duty. Looks like a new 6.8 gas base engine and a HO 6.7 Power Stroke and a on board generator. And again I'll refrain from commenting on the looks department for a few days.

I agree. Very boring reveal. I tuned out even before the truck was shown. Evolutionary, certainly not revolutionary. Surprised by a new base engine.

Disappointed they didn't bring PowerBoost to the SuperDuty this year, it's a feature I'd love to have in my next truck but I won't be buying another half ton, next truck will be a 1T SRW.

The F150 PowerBoost benefits are really limited to city driving and there's really no advantage with towing IMO.

"For the builders"... Hmmm... One thing I wish I could do with my 2021 F150 XLT is to shut OFF most of the electronics / "safety features" / alarms so that I can... build. Well, at least work without some alarm going off every 5 minutes.

Ford should have some sort of "work mode" you can activate with the truck so it is easier to use as a work truck.

One of the worst is the electronically locking tailgate. When working (landscaping), I don't carry truck keys or my phone on me - I don't want to damage or lose them. I get to a job site, hop out, lock the cab... and can't open the tailgate. Pain in the arse to put it mildly.

That, and lower the friggin' height of the trucks!

Going to have 2 diesel engine options. Going to be interesting to hear the specs on the high output.

“Looks” pretty similar to current models. Is “new” really the right word?

2diesels? No way…Ram has been getting lambasted about this for years….
Maybe Frod copied that theory like Ram copied the cp4 from them? Lol
